Greensboro, NC (July 15, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit and run crash in Greensboro on Wednesday, July 14. The accident was reported at around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Randleman Road and Lawrence Street.
The Greensboro Police Department responded to the scene after an eyewitness called 911. The witness told dispatchers that a man was crossing the road when he was struck by a car. The man was later identified as a 39-year-old man from Greensboro. The car that struck the man was a black Toyota Corolla manufactured between 2015 and 2020. The Corolla fled in the crash.
Rescuers transported the injured victim to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition. Police are still looking for the vehicle and believe it will have damage to its grille and a temporary license plate.
