LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, Aug. 12, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Personal injury law firm Custodio & Dubey LLP today announced the addition of Partner Lloyd Buckley to the Los Angeles office of the firm.

Lloyd brings with him extensive experience in successfully pursuing a range of personal injury cases, handling a wide variety of accidents, collisions and insurance claims. “I am thrilled to work with a dynamic and growing civil litigation firm,” he said.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring Lloyd into the team,” said co-founder Miguel Custodio. “His goal is to achieve justice for customers, which is our raison d’être.”

“We are very pleased to have Lloyd join us, he is an aggressive litigator who will help us keep the pressure on insurance companies and achieve great results for our clients,” added co-founder Vineet Dubey.

For Lloyd, a graduate of Loyola Law School, law is a family affair – his father and three uncles are lawyers and his mother is a paralegal.

Even so, after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University, Lloyd decided to say no to a career in banking and headed west to try his luck in Hollywood.

For about five years, Buckley attended casting calls, landed roles in TV pilots and spent two months in Thailand with Japanese movie idol Yutaka Takenouchi, Treat Williams and Daniel Baldwin on the set of a long 2011 World War II footage, “Oba, the Last Samurai”. He portrayed the cape. Marks, the film’s fifth lead actor from the American cast.

Pursuing the law, however, was always on his mind.

“During my freshman year in law school, a guest speaker who was a fantastic speaker explained personal injury in a way that really touched me,” he said. “He framed it in a way that the personal injury law is like an intense NFL game, and the plaintiff’s attorneys are the underdogs. But if you have an injured client and a fair case, you can still feel good about pursuing justice.

One of Lloyd’s most rewarding experiences involved a teenage girl who was riding in a car with her boyfriend’s family on their way to church when they were struck by an 80mph driver. The girl was seriously injured, including a broken pelvis, and one of the passengers was killed. The case was set to be settled for the driver’s $50,000 policy limit — and split into five ways. But an investigation of the driver’s car at the wrecking site revealed he was making deliveries for a national pizza chain at the time of the crash.

“It changed the whole case and collectively we ended up getting the police limit – over $7 million – against the national chain franchisee, and our client was awarded $1.8 million” , did he declare.
