Pedestrian injuries in Bakersfield

About 6,000 pedestrians die each year in traffic-related incidents across the country. Almost 15% of pedestrian deaths nationwide occur here in California. Although lawmakers are constantly striving to protect pedestrians who share roads with drivers, they continue to be victims on a daily basis. In many cases, pedestrians are struck by vehicles driven by distracted, impaired and reckless drivers.

You can be vigilant by obeying the law and protecting others around you on the road. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that other drivers will take you into consideration while driving.

Any car accident can cause catastrophic injuries to those involved. Pedestrians involved in crashes are more at risk of being injured because they are not protected against the force of vehicles.
