Lanes reopened after crash between two vehicles on Interstate 5

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (January 31, 2022) – At least one person was injured Monday after a crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 5.

The incident happened around 10:42 a.m. on Interstate 5 along the Frazier Mountain Park Road off-ramp.

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of two vehicles colliding under unknown circumstances.

Emergency crews transported a person with head injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Although at this time authorities have no information about the condition and identity of the victim.

Additionally, the area was temporarily closed but has since reopened to the public.

Bakersfield Police are continuing to investigate the collision and will post updates as they become available.
